Youtube Stream Another Live Concert Featuring Alicia Keys

A copulate of weeks back, YouTube streamed a concert in full featuring those Irish Rockers U2 which was one of the biggest live streaming ensues ever. It generated an monolithic hearing worldwide who watched over 10 million streams.

Chuffed with this success,  YouTube have decided to do it again, this time with an Alicia Keys concert being live streamed to an eager Youtube audience.

The concert will be played at the Nokia Theatre in New York City on December 1st at 8pm Eastern Time and is being held to promote World AIDS Day. security guards of the concert will hopefully donate to the charity and Alicia’s elect charity too. You will be view the concert on the Alicia Keys YouTube channel. That is of of course if the servers dont melt.

The previous U2 concert managed to run without hitches, which was pretty amazing considering it was the biggest live streaming event YouTube has ever streamed. And the entirely thing appeared to run so smoothly as well. The two and a half hour concert went by without any major interruptions.

Starting in March, sixty Cricket matches will be streamed along with an expected sponsor who will pay handsomely for the privelage, possibly portion Youtube to make a profit in 2010.

Bruce Daisley from Google UK said:- “We’re keen to see how the community will take to live sport. There’s a real interest in live events, so we’re excited.”

During their short five years of life, YouTube have evolved from being the home of funny/odd/plain eldritch videos to a serious entertainment hub that can seriously compete with the big networks in the advent internet attached age.

With a worldwide audience of 400 million they are setup to offer the modern day viewer, on the button what they want – tv on demand, at a time and place of the users choice. Youtube never has, and still doesnt make a profit, for the most part due to advertisers considering the traffic to be of low calibre.

However, Youtube have been ever-changing from a geeks recur, to a place wherever viewers can watch full length movies, catch-up tv from channels around the world. And now they are close to launching live Indian Premier League cricket matches for sports fans.

 Google obviously had a long term plan when they paid big bucks for Youtube, and now its coming to fruition. A quality site attracting a quality audience that will have advertisers flocking.
 

As soon as the internet connected hardware becomes mainstream and broadband speeds make buffering a thing of the past, Youtube will be there on every device and on every television set. A hit that has carefully been reinforced and millions of loyal users knowing that whatsoever they want to see can be found on Youtube.
